Medical Mavericks
On Wednesday 24th October, the science department, at The John of Gaunt School took a group of students to Wiltshire College, Trowbridge, to try their hands at a series of medical tests and techniques, run by Medical Mavericks, joined by 10 students from Matravers School. The workshops included taking blood from a fake arm, recording their ECG's and using ultrasound. The students were from years 11-13, all of who are interested in medical careers in the future. They all really enjoyed their experience, especially the pathology goggles!
